Ligo Post
Terms of Service
These Terms govern access to the Ligo Post website, account portal and pre-release Ligo software. By creating an account, downloading software, or using Ligo, you accept these Terms.
1. Beta service
Ligo is supplied as beta software. Features may change, be unavailable, or contain defects. Use it only on projects and systems for which you maintain appropriate backups and testing procedures. Do not rely on beta software as the sole means of preserving project data.
2. Account access
You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials confidential, and use only accounts assigned to you. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and must notify Ligo Post promptly of suspected unauthorised use.
3. Software licence
Subject to these Terms and any applicable licence or trial entitlement, Ligo Post grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to install and use Ligo for evaluation or authorised professional use. The software, documentation, branding and related intellectual property remain the property of Ligo Post and its licensors.
You may not copy, redistribute, rent, sell, reverse engineer, modify, or circumvent technical access controls except where mandatory law permits it.
4. Installation and third-party requirements
Ligo requires compatible versions of Avid Media Composer and operating-system permissions. Windows beta downloads may be distributed as ZIP archives and require extraction plus execution of the included installer script as an administrator. Operating-system security warnings may appear for unsigned beta components.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Ligo to violate law, third-party rights, confidentiality obligations, or security controls. You must not attempt to interfere with the service, gain unauthorised access, or use the software to process material you are not authorised to handle.
6. Availability and support
Ligo Post may modify, suspend or discontinue beta features, downloads, accounts or access at any time. Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis and does not include a guaranteed response or uptime commitment during beta.
7. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the beta service and software are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from defects. Ligo Post is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or loss-of-data damages arising from beta use. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms when the service changes or where required by law. Material changes will be published here with a new version and effective date; continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
